HOW TO: Create Putty Movie Magic

Did you know that you can make Thinking Putty® turn into anything you want? With a little help from movie magic, you can turn your tins of Primary Blue and Lime Green into green-screens! Take a look at our video where we made both tins into video canvases.

This is done by a process called, "Keying." It is the process of electronically removing a specific or set of colors from a shot. In television, the most common application of Keying is during a weathercast. You may have noticed the host stands in front of a blue or green screen. Keying allows the editor to pull out the green or blue and replace it with the video of their choosing. If you have the software, give it a go.
